I wanted wings to fly,
Across the blue ocean
But He gave me a hump full of water,
To wet my withered feelings.
I wanted a cozy bed to sleep
And feel that I am safe.
But He gave me nightmares every now and then
So that I’m never short of adrenaline.
But I won’t ever complain,
Coz He never gives what we want.
And I won’t cry either
Coz He never gives what we desire
I wanted a life filled with party
Where I can dance my heart out
But He gave me a window to sit beside
Humming some unknown tune
I wanted a garden in front of my house
Where I can smell water lilies
But he trapped me in this land of sand storms
And treacherous sand dunes
But I won’t stop walking
Coz He is walking with me too
And I won’t ouch at all
Coz these pains is there to inspire—
Millions, who dream of flying,
But don’t have the legs to walk.
And millions, who are not aware of there deeds
But know what they want from Him
But He don’t give what we want
He gives what we need.
