Going Nowhere

When they were busy making Rockets
On their mission to the Mars
I was gazing up above
The blue sky and the stars

When they were launching the submarine
To investigate the deep ocean
I was dipping my fishing rod
And thinking, “oh what fun!”

Oh Almighty!!!
Why don’t you take care of me?
Why don’t you put some brain up here?
‘Coz I am going nowhere.

When they were making bombs and tanks
And Automatic Guns
I was doing all sorts of pranks
With my little water-gun.

When they were testing nuclear bombs
To destroy Hiroshima-Nagasaki
I was bunking my physics class
And hoping to get the ticket to the latest movie.

Oh Almighty!!!
Why don’t you take care of me?
Why don’t you make me a bit more sincere?
‘Coz I am going nowhere.

Look, there goes the missile
And there the bomb drops on a bunch of some ill-fated
And there is a child who has lost his parents
Please make him a bit more educated
Tell his it’s not a moment to cry
It’s our moment of glory
It’s a moment when we have defied all our instincts
And started a brand new story.
